HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HORSE / PONY – HARNESS MEASUREMENT CHART BEST MEASUREMENTS OCCUR IF YOU

HAVE A WELL-FITTING HARNESS TO MEASURE AND COMPARE WITH HORSE. USE A SOFT QUILTER’S „FABRIC” TAPE MEASURE.

PROVIDE ALL MEASUREMENTS IN CM OR INCHES

A. Corner of mouth, over poll, to the corner of the mouth and from the corner of the mouth up to the ear on one side.

B. Browband – total length from end to end.

C. Noseband

D. Girth – all the way around where the saddle sits

E. Backband – from the back of the saddle to the base of the tail

F. Hip strap – over the loin to the top of the breeching

G. Breeching – from the point of the hip around the rump to the point of the hip

H. Breastplate – from the center of the saddle skirt around the chest to the center of the saddle skirt on the other side

We will use these measurements, adjusting for single or pair harness, depending on your order.
